Looking to see when the final ALCS game between Toronto and Seattle is (tonight, not to hold you in suspense) I asked Google, whose AI returned this result:

The next ALCS game is not scheduled as the 2025 ALCS has already concluded.
The American League champion, which will be either the Toronto Blue Jays or Seattle Mariners, will advance to the World Series to play the National League champion, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The World Series is scheduled to begin on October 24, 2025.

If it can get something this simple wrong, I’d be reluctant to hand over my investing, business accounting, materials procurement, driving, robot control, or much of anything else.

Asked a different way, I got this answer instead:

Yes, there is another Blue Jays vs. Mariners game tonight, Game 7 of the ALCS, scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET.
This will be the deciding game of the series, with the winner advancing to the World Series. The game is being played at Rogers Centre, with Shane Bieber scheduled to start for the Blue Jays

Both queries were made within the last 10 minutes, and both are at opposite ends of the universe of “correct answers.”

You cheated:-). You knew enough to know it was wrong.

I have the habit of asking anything important to three different AI's expecting at least one of them will hallucinate.

Hopefully, some day, they will take their own vote before answering.

I used to do a thing occasionally, back on the Fool, called "spin cycle", where I see two analysts making opposite calls, on the same stock, on the same day.

So, seems AI is just as "good" as the "highly skilled financial analysts".
