actually, 2 items make requests for help from ukraine interesting.
a. trump2.0 has not passed any new military aid to ukraine, and has twice invoked major pauses to prior aid passed by congress. ~40% remaining.
b. it is now likely this remaining aid will be extorted, based on ukraine not striking any energy infrastructure where american oil companies have a financial interest intermingled with russian assets. according to peter zeihan, this is a VERY small amount, with the largest target carrying ~20% oil via american rights pumped in the 'stans.
in other words, just the sort of meaningless oil supermajor rounding error that trump would whine about for MAGA publicity, but it would actually make a dent in putin's war economy financing.
unlike some here, i dont think trump and his stooges have the ability to make any durable plan for anyone but possibly themselves.
sometimes multiple paths of dementia converge, and just makes it appear all this (vz,iran,...) is to help american fossil. if so , we are missing trump's very own 10 $figure take somewhere.
