LM is correct that it's not a priority for the Dems, at least not since Obama (as the other poster mentioned). But for all the fire and bluster from the Reps, you'd think they would do something when they had power. They didn't. A wall is not an answer (just ask the Chinese...they built a really big one, garrisoned with troops, and it still didn't work well). Most of any decline before Biden can be attributed to COVID (i.e. no jobs for them to do).
