Steady hiring continues to fuel consumer spending and, in turn, an economic expansion unlike any the U.S. has seen.

How is it that a majority of the country thinks we’re in a recession and that stocks are at an all time low? Other than their news source, I mean. Do they not trust their own eyes? There’s a “help wanted sign in front of every other store at the strip mall, and “We’re hiring” placards in front of every big box store I go to.

this has mostly been covered...

- the upward change in inflation. despite flattening, consumers compare most frequent experiences (food, gas, etc...) to pre-covid prices.
- income equality, which is going to get worse regardless of the election. its just a matter of how steep.
- lethal combination of politically biased media sources and incapability to grasp economics\numbers.
- the ever popular 'i'm doing great, but my peers seem to be doing terrible'. (smugness optional)
