Has anyone else wondered if Russian trolls have infiltrated the group. LurkerMom was quoting Peskov, others have been promoting language very similar to Russian propaganda. Russia has the intent to sow disinformation and discord in the US. Just wondering.

Speaking in defense of LM and Dope- they both posted on Motley Fool for ~20 years before moving here, so it’s unlikely they are Russian trolls.

However, both quote extensively from sources that have been known conduits for Russian disinformation and in a few cases, have actually repeated stories that have been traced back to Russian sources.

So no, they are not Russian trolls. But at times they do seem to qualify as “useful idiots” and conduits of Russian disinformation.
