steve,

good reply. INformative. Thank you.

The problem with frame by frame analysis is that the ICE officer is making decisions in "real time."

The entire thing may have happened in one, maybe 2 seconds. Tops.

There was more than just the shooting officer in the immediate vicinity of the reckless SUV driver. At least one or maybe two others.

Much as you want to apply 20/20 hindsight, that's not the correct standard.

Think about it.

You've probably spent far more than one or two seconds analyzing various video that's available on the internet. (Doesn't include what they might have collected from people's cell phones etc. from different angles and so forth.)

Could that officer have jumped out of the way without shooting? Maybe, maybe not. He had to make the decision in a split second. Not with 20-20 hindsight. Not with knowledge of the SUV driver's politics.

Guaranteed if he was a MAGA driver every leftist here would be cheering his death.

Was the shooting justified? None of us knows for sure. We don't know. If a big SUV is two feet away from you you don't know which way to jump and you don't know the driver's intentions, other than that they are not stopping and not listening to law enforcement and RESISISTING!!!!.

I'm going to start with the "innocent until proven guilty" and "beyond a reasonable doubt standards" that are collection of leftist dum dum fascist nazis don't believe in.

Presumption of innocence means he's innocent until a jury says otherwise or until he pleads guilty.

Does that mean no crime was committed? Not necessarily, but if anything it would probably be something like "criminally negligent homicide" at most.

That depends on a lot of factors.

I'd guess justifying the 2nd and 3rd shots will be more difficult than the first one. However, remember, this all happened in maybe a second or two. If that. The first shot didn't stop the nutty SUV driver. Based on her objective behavior at that traffic "stop," the ICE officer could have reasonably believed she intended to mow down any ICE officer or pedestrian or other motorist who happened to be impeding her attempt at a getaway.
