...and the appropriate response to that is not to intimate that maybe Dearborn's Arab community should think twice about being visibly Muslim,..."of course Jews should be able to fully be invested in believing that Israel should continue to exist as a Jewish state without that putting them in danger."
Of course, We should all be able to agree everyone has a Constitutionally guaranteed right to state their opinion. The government is bending way over backward to protect Jews, to the extent of punishing people who demonstrate against Israel, so Jews only need to worry about the random nutter. Muslims need to worry about being assaulted by the government, as well as the random nutter. Most of us have seen the video of the woman who had written an editorial for the university student newspaper. She was walking down the street, minding her own business, when she was assaulted by Federal agents, shoved into a vehicle, then flown to Louisiana and thrown in prison, without any legal due process, for expressing an opinion the regime did not like.
Language is a funny thing. How it is interpreted is up to the listener.
Was what Stevens said a caution to USian Jews to watch their back, because some nutter may react to what "Bibi" is doing, or a threat?
Was what Piker said a threat to sympathizers of Israel, or a caution to not be overtly pro-Israel, lest some nutter come after them, because of what the Israeli government is doing?
We can't control all the nutters in the country. Statistically, Muslims are attacked far more often than Jews.
