Ah, the paid protesters nonsense. Yes, in a world where the government can barely conspire to fill potholes, we have paid protesters, for which there's no evidence.
I went to six protests last year (first ones of my life, which is north of a half century). I've voted for both parties, for write-ins, and remain unaffiliated.
I wasn't paid.
None of my friends that went were paid.
Nobody I met at them were paid. Everyone was making fun of the notion and laughing about it, actually.
It is so patently absurd a claim, on its surface...and there's not a shred of evidence of any payments.
