At his press conference today, US Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino claimed that "an individual approached ICE agents with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun."
Notice his language: "approached ICE agents".
Not that the handgun was drawn. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said at a news conference the man was a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.
Huh.
I guess it's only okay to carry a gun to a protest if you're Kyle Rittenhouse.
For what it's worth, the incident is literally on video from multiple angles and the "we need more details" ship has sailed.
The man who was killed was filmed from multiple angles with only a phone in his hand, recording ICE, and seeming to comply with their orders to move back.
After the shooting, ICE tried to prevent Minneapolis police from investigating but O'Hara told his officers to ignore ICE's instructions.
ICE also chased witnesses from the scene.
We've reached a point where it's a stretch to believe anything ICE says but one thing is certain: Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs there because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs, like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames.
Just curious, is there ANYTHING that an ICE agent can do that Republicans will condemn as wrong? Anything at all? Or it just automatically defend ICE no matter what now?
