in fairness, ackman not always acted a miscreant. he did try to expose the herbalife pyramid scheme until too much of of his own money was at risk, and suddenly his self-righteousness and conviction met its match. he found more 1-sided battles to pursue.


Yes, you and I agree there, except that I can't think of ANY instance when he acted as a miscreant.


I wasn't interested in buying his new fund above net asset value, but I don't blame him for trying.

And while it probably made business sense to cover the Herbalife short at around $80 a share five years ago (his funds have done very well since then), he has been proved entirely right about the company, which now trades for $7.
