I beg to differ. It is intended, in the context of talking about economic and political migrants desperately seeking refuge in the US, to dehumanize fellow human beings as the equivalent of a plague of locusts, a destructive force threatening 'our' land. It is hateful, fascistic language and we need to call it out as such.
