This isn't northern Ireland, where peace was possible once the general population on both sides became sick of fighting. There are enough people who will want the fight to continue forever who won't be dissuaded by pain, and who don't depend on the rest of the people in order to keep up the fight.
I believe there still are people who want the Brits out of Northern Ireland. They want unification. And then there's the whole Catholic vs Protestant bit.
If I lived in Israel, I would find the constant threat of violence intolerable. Is that not common among your relatives? If so, the only option given what you've been saying is genocide. Wipe them out. Leave none in Israel, Gaza, West Bank, or anywhere else in the vicinity. I don't approve of genocide, but it seems you're saying there is no option if you aren't willing to live with the violence.
