There really is no military solution to this problem; it has to be diplomatic.
As Trump has openly said, anyone in Iran that stands up to open a dialog, is promptly killed, generally by US/Israeli bombing.
The Israelis have a term for perpetual war, periodic bombing, over and over and over: "mowing the lawn", to suppress an opponent that has proven resistant to eradication.
I might suggest that "mowing the Iranian lawn" is the job the US has been nominated for. Iran is too big to overrun by force of arms, then stand up a Quisling. So, simply keep bombing them to keep their heads down, so they can't interfere with Israeli ambition. This has the happy outcome of the Strait being a constant war zone, so oil from other sources becomes dramatically more profitable.
