Regardless of all the crud swirling about, there is one simple truth. Trump failed.

The most likely reason he failed is he did not take into account, nor probably understand, Ukraine's needs.
Colossal misstep on Trumps part. Perhaps it was a failure on Trumps part to adequately communicate to Ukraine how the deal assured their security.
Regardless, the outcome is a clear failure on Trumps part. Of course he will blame others, but that doesn't change the outcome.
