When the FBI provided the form 1023 document that republicans requested, it informed senators Grassley, House Oversight Chairman James Comer, and other republicans not to make the document public because it would endanger the life of an informant, a confidential human source.

Republicans released the document anyway.

So you have to ask yourself, why?

Either Grassley, Comer, and republicans knew or assumed the information was untrue, pure propaganda, and that anyone who could recognize the confidential human source would simply dismiss it as worthless propaganda.

Or...

Republicans would be fine with the identification and possible killing of a confidential human source if it could harm president Biden.

From the FBI statement: "We have repeatedly explained to Congress, in correspondence and in briefings, how critical it is to keep this source information confidential. ... Today's release of the 1023 -- at a minimum -- unnecessarily risks the safety of a confidential source."
