My wife and I are looking to spend approx. 6 months/year as retirees in France (probably Cote d'Azur). We have Medicare and a BCBS supplement that covers emergency care internationally. Will that satisfy the insurance requirement for a renewable long-stay visa?

If not, any recommendations, please? Also, is this a policy we should get from a French/European company, a US-based one, or ...?

Merci!

PS: I'm fairly sure we've got all the other items for the visa covered: financial, place to stay, background checks, etc.
