He said that he knows what it's like to have your home burn down, because his home burned down. His home burned down from a small kitchen fire, but he didn't say that the Maui fire is like a small kitchen fire. Just that he can empathize with losing your home to fire.

His home never burned down. He had a small kitchen fire. Jill called the fire department and walked out of the house.

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Lightning struck the home of Sen. Joseph Biden, starting a small fire that was contained to the kitchen.
