It almost sounds like someone (perhaps a UN coalition) needs to step in decisively, remove Israel’s nuclear weapons - by force if necessary - then back away and let the whole place go to pot. It will be a humanitarian nightmare, but sometimes you have to let people get what they are asking for to learn how bad their choices are.
How would that be any better than the current situation? Or really, how would it be any different? Israel's nuclear weapons are a deterrent against invasion by other countries, not anything that affects the longstanding fighting between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Taking away their nukes doesn't change anything, unless you think it might enable the other Arab countries in the region to just invade Israel and wipe them out. Which seems very unlikely, given their conventional forces.
I think the overwhelming majority in both factions already know how bad their situation is. The problem is that there is a staunch minority in both factions that believe their choices are good choices. There is a faction (now symbolized by Hamas) that believes that the fight to remove the Jews is noble and just and should go on forever. There is a faction in Israel that believes that Israel must expand to include all of what they think is the biblical holy land, and that the fight to achieve that is noble and just and should go on forever. You can get the majority to disagree with those minorities, but you're never going to get those minorities to change their position - and if you let them "get what they are asking for" it will make things worse, not better.
