It was a plea deal and he’ll still serve 40-60 years in federal prison.

To me, that would be worse. Just kill me, instead of me living in a 10x10 box with a bunch of brutes that want me to join a gang, or get raped, or have [insert commodity here] stolen. Of course, in my case, 40 years is effectively a life sentence.
