It's thoughtful and correct to assume Hamas would be very popular should their tactics lead to a country for Palestinians.
But.....
People are people ....and people change their minds. ESPECIALLY in modern day where people are Cyborgs, partially controlled by the Digital Universe they are captive to, and thanks to said Digital Universe, attention spans are shorter and loyalties die much easier.
So after the ticker tape. After their flag waving. After their versions of these-colors-don't-run......
Schools. Health Care. Food. Currency. Economy. Jobs, Standard of living.
"Certain people" have no clue how to handle that. Hamas is one of them---- hence their popularity would be a morning glory -bright and ardent to start, but wilting away at the end.
I'm hardly pro-Israel. I have a nuanced respect, admiration, combined with disdain for them.
But I did say in the early days of TMF that Israel should just give it to Hamas, and then buy it back 20 cents on the dollar within a generation.
Some "species" here on earth - while not all of them RE sub-human, have shown for 1000s of years up to today, that they can't do shit half-right.
And if Israel is not willing to atomically eradicate a species, then it's Israel's sole choice to decide to live with the barbarism they got a few days go.
