This speech is such an extraordinary combination of lies, delusions, narcissism, hatefulness, ignorance and lunacy that it could have been given by no other person than the president of the United States. It could well be the low point of US public diplomacy in our history.

I’m glad he gave this speech.

Pace slowed down, minus the blasting music and pyrotechnics of a campaign or Charlie Kirk funeral/rally, it was just an enfeebled old man droning on about his hatreds and how he is the indispensable leader.

He presents as a figure with whom we might be sympathetic, except that he has a large following and the nuclear codes.
