Hmm. Wonder why that is.
Might have a little bit to do with the hate thrown by the left on an hourly basis.
We could go round and round about "who started it", but it doesn't even matter at this point.
When you're the person on top, to be a good leader you need to rise above the fray and be better than the mud-slingers. You gotta show why you belong in the Leader's chair. You gotta be better than the other guys. No whining allowed. You have to be able to take some heat and not simply fling it back and call your critics juvenile names. That's how you be a good leader. We could be so much better as a country with some semblance of togetherness, as we've had for most of my 65-year life span.
That's not what we get with Trump. He doesn't even try. He doesn't "get it". With Trump, we get a 12-year-old bully. I'd like to think we're better than that as a country, but if we're not...well, I guess we're getting what we deserve. We elected him, so what he does played well with the electorate.
Mud-slinging makes for good reality TV or podcasts (apparently). But not good political leadership as Leader of the Free World.
Character matters.
