To a person of limited understanding, that would be true. If you're evaluating a target rich environment, and that should be the case, and you have a limited number of investigations that you can do reasonably, which investigations will yield the best results for the Republic? What's your priority? Restoration of the rule of law? Winning cases? Deterrent for future insurrection attempts? If you can go civil, is it worth pursuing Jan 6 as both a counter to claims of innocence and future deterrence of a demagogue? We can't decide that here, that's decided then.
