My friend was watching a local affiliate FOX station and they actually described the protests as RIOTS.

At my protest, people were smiling, adults were wearing funny costumes, the signs were hilarious, people in passing cars were laughing and giving the peace sign, kids had a great time, even the police were smiling, we were telling jokes, saw lots of friends, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

It was a riot!
