And this reshoreing will take how long?

We already do this all the time--under another name.

For medical, it is called "medical tourism". Travel outside, get medical care, return. And it is cheaper for the insurance company as well (less expensive medical care, so PAID !!).

For electronics, a bit more difficult. Hmmm, buy on a trip overseas, return to US, but the item is now a USED electronics product, so mega-discounted value. Not aware of any known tax for USED electronics imported into the US. But would be on a far lower value than new....
