Cruz will "speak MAGA" just fine.....but then of course, genuflect for NeoCons and kiss Israel's ring like a good American Mule does.
I can't imagine him winning the presidency, even IF Club 401K tries to help Republicans win like they always do.
In weak moments (which oddly I've had a few the past month or so) when I want things to course-correct for America......I look at the likes of Rahm Emanuel. Governor Beshear (whom I've written about for 2 years now). And I think about a slim Democrat House. And I think about a 1 vote majority for Dems in the Senate.
And for a brief moment I imagine Red and Blue, being nothing more than ratings, clicks, and likes machines.
And Purple - meaning pragmatism and realism - carrying the day and America bending the world over once again for a half century or so.
When you look at pockets. Pockets of imperfect success. You don't see po-dunk Alabama. And frankly, it's not California.
It IS.... Austin TX, Raleigh NC, and others like that. It's blending of favorable business and investment environments WITH diversity, creativity, education and intellectual curiosity, And extremes are tough to enact.
But, tribals don't do Purple. Some will do so if it's served up to them because Sheeples do what their side tells them. But tribal sheeple never will openly advocate for Purple.
They can't think for themselves AND they can't understand "this means, I don't get all I want. I gotta let the other side have a few things. And some of my favorite columnist or podcaster can shove his orthodoxy up his ass....this is reality and with reality, we gotta give a little"
If the Tribals are able to say "My side is wrong about XYZ" or even "I don't like it but ok, I'm gonna give on XYZ" ---let me know.
