I don't even play a lawyer on TV, but, iirc, it is extremely difficult to prevail on a libel suit in the US, especially when it involves a public figure. If it was easy, Trump would be answering a different libel suit every day of the year, instead of only E Jean Carroll's. We old phartz remember Carol Burnett making the news by *successfully* suing the National Enquirer for saying she was drunk.
