It's not about "too old" in 2024. IMO, it's about incumbency. When you have an incumbent, it is very difficult to "primary" them. You'll get almost zero support from your party. If Biden was going to do one term, he should have said so at least a year ago so the Party could have planned accordingly. Who is the next "rising star"? Dunno, because we have an incumbent who will be running for a second term.

Also...Trump is only three years younger. At that age, that's a negligible difference. If Biden is too old, so is Trump. At least Biden knows how politics work, and is relatively competent.
