...the POTUS can only invoke military action for 60 days without a resolution from Congress, or a declaration of war. Neither has been forthcoming.
It was suggested, some weeks ago, that, if Congress became a problem, simply change the name of the war, to restart the 60 day clock. There were other suggestions that declaring the "cease fire", ended the original 60 day clock.
Of course, the "leaders and statesmen", on both sides of the aisle, have made it clear, they want more war, so the regime is in no difficulty, because a law is only as good as the people charged with enforcing it.
