And....it's from...... religion. a *gasp* Christ centric religion

The UCMJ obligates disobeying illegal orders. It's military law. However, the hazard for the 19yr olds that have to make that decision are great. If they disobey an order, and it is NOT found to have been illegal, off they go to federal prison (and a dishonorable discharge). On the other hand, individual soldiers can be held personally liable if they DO obey an illegal order.

Quite a quandary for someone so young who probably doesn't know much about law.
