So, they're diversifying their exposure to the U.S. economy by expanding their ties to China.

How is that "stable"?

China is on the verge of war with several nations (including us). They are seizing waters that are not -by international law- theirs, harassing boats/ships in those waters (e.g. Scarborough Shoals), menacing Taiwan, and all of this affects one of the busiest shipping routes on the planet.

I get wanting to rely less on us because we're -frankly- crazy and erratic. But China is predictable in that it wants to disrupt the status quo, and seize territory/waters that aren't theirs. What next? Is someone is Brussels going to announce "there will be peace in our time"??
