I haven't seen any melt downs.

Yes, you have. I've been posting them. Y'all keep wanting to change the subject though so as to avoid facing it.

and I have trepidation - but that's not a meltdown.

Y'all have been reacting emotionally, often as children do when they don't get their way. Just as was described in the piece.

Jesus to God I hope we don't get to tell you - WE TOLD YOU SO - because looking down the road it can get very ugly, people will get hurt, and the United States can get hurt.
