Operatic, I tell ya!
For those who forgot, there is a tiny subplot in "The Green Berets": Sergent Provo is noticing all the places around bases in 'Nam named after men KIA. All the names alliterate somehow, in the Sergent's expression, they "sing". When the Sergent is fatally wounded, just before he dies, he tells one of the other men he figured out what could be named after him. Everyone is in attendance at the unveiling of the "Provo Privy". One of the other officers goes "what?". John Wayne says "it sings". The other officer looks at the sign again, and says "He's right. It does sing". As Paul Harvy used to say "and now you know the rest of the story".
