"Then let's start posting and collecting good, working AI prompts that people can use as templates to run backtests! on which engines?
Things like, can the engines pull 10 years of price data themselves, or do you have to download it first from Yahoo or another service and upload it? What common technical indicators are they capable of calculating on that uploaded price data? etc"
The prompts are not the issue; there is not special about them. You feed it the data and it can do backtests like gtr but it can tell you the particular stocks historically unlike gtr. Norgate has data and since I paid I am not using Yahoo except for some tiny gaps when a company delisted (mergers etc.) and yahoo has the prices around events.
AI can test whatever you give it; I only have price/volume at the moment so can't test fundamental criteria. The latter can be obtained for a price.
