Again, I seem to be slow on the uptake here.
Are you for siding with Israel? Against? Hard to tell.
FWIW, I think both sides are, and have been, wrong. Depending on the time period, one may be more wrong than the other. But they're both wrong.
Hamas was wrong for killing and kidnapping all those people. The initial Israeli response was understandable, but I think they've crossed a line where they are mostly victimizing innocent people now. And, occasionally, aid workers. They're also wrong in occupying territories that were determined not to be part of Israel when a coalition of nations formed (and recognized) Israel as a nation. That's been going on for 50 years, and only one Israeli PM made any attempt to stop settlers (and he was promptly murdered, as I recall).
I don't pretend there is a simple solution. There is no solution that both sides will agree to 100% (i.e. factions on both sides -in essence- want to wipe the other side off the map...period). But slaughtering innocents on either side is not cool.
And, yeah...I get that Israel is a great asset in keeping Iran (and others) in check without committing US forces to anything. At the same time, we don't have much control of them, so they can (and do) do unexpected things from time to time.
FWIW (again), I stand with the average Israeli and average Palestinian who just wants to go about their business without someone trying to kill them.
