“CBS News journalist says most underreported 2024 story was Biden’s ‘obvious cognitive decline’”

“Veteran CBS News reporter Jan Crawford dinged news organizations for not thoroughly covering President Biden’s “obvious cognitive decline” this year until it became unavoidable during his disastrous debate against Donald Trump over the summer.

Crawford, the network’s chief legal correspondent, insisted stronger reporting on the topic could have changed the entire election as she responded to a question from “Face the Nation” moderator Major Garrett about the most underreported story in 2024.

“Undercovered and underreported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” she said on the Sunday morning show.

She then noted recent reporting by the Wall Street Journal that detailed how White House aides covered up Biden’s mental decline over the past four years.”

A. Knew and CHOSE not to report on it, or
B. Put the hands over their eyes and pretended not to see

But the reason why we don’t hate the media enough is that they reported - unquestioningly - the “cheap fakes” lie that the White House tried to push out. It’s not that they didn’t report on Biden’s obvious and deepening senility. It’s the exercise in gaslighting that came with it.

I think the most under-reported story so far is that eggs brought down a democracy. I never knew eggs were that powerful. We won the Civil War but lost the Reconstruction, we won the Cold War, but lost to Oligarchy... and a one, and a two...

MAGA can pretend authoritarian actions are the democratic MO (same logic they use to argue the NAZI party was socialist), but the reality is about to bite MAGA in the ass.
