The more I learn about Carter, the more I learn that he always made decisions to benefit the country even it if might hurt his presidency (e.g., the appointment of Paul Volker, who raised interest rates during Carter's term).

The more I learn about Trump, the more I learn that he always made decisions to benefit himself and his reelection chances even if it damaged the country (e.g., minimizing the danger of Covid).

Carter: the epitome of selflessness.
Trump: the epitome of selfishness.
