"I met President Xi at the plane yesterday and he looks strong, vibrant and fit - Better than ever.”
Ass kissing aside, when has any president anywhere ever focused his comments on his guest’s physical appearance? He should have also commented on the quality of Xi’s suit, the shine of his shoes, and his immaculate hair style. In Trump’s mind the look of things always trumps the substance. That’s why he’s obsessed with monuments, and ballrooms, and gold plating everything. To him, the symbols are the substance. His essence is shallow stupidity.
