Pet shop guy doesn't seem to understand how it works.
Not to beat a dead horse, but whether pet shop guy understands how a broken insurance market works is irrelevant.
You seem to be arguing for the legacy system run by for-profit entities. That is currently resulting in a cost-and-care death spiral.
For a national healthcare system, it is the wrong road to be on.
The federal government is the only entity powerful enough to change it. Right now, it doesn't want to. As a result, under Republican control (or should I say Republican fear of Donald Trump) Americans have gotten sicker and poorer.
If that's going to change, it will be at the ballot box.
