Protests outside a hotel in Pasadena where ICE and border patrol agents were staying convinced the hotel to ask the agents to leave. And they did. The distinctive green and white vehicles typically used by CBP tipped off the citizens.
In related news, the mayor of Pasadena - who apparently is also a lawyer - was able to get critical medications to a Pasadena resident who was in a detention facility. ICE had turned away his wife who was attempting to deliver the medication. They could turn away his wife, but couldn't turn away the detainee's lawyer - a relationship hastily created in the parking lot between the mayor and wife. Clever and creative thinking there. Well done.
