_like blackstone, brookfield is also stepping into residential in a major way, with a concentrated bet on the SF area.
(as a former bay area resident, i opine its still mostly a great place for those that dont commute. downtown used be fun, and a short commute to a crappy area is still better than a long commute anywhere.)
so let's hope this goes better than BN's big bet on the downtown LA commercial space.
