Agreed. Latino-Americans are a large group, majority catholic, and so socially conservative. Anti-abortion, anti-gay, etc. And there is some small, but not insignificant, portion of that population that is turning to Republicans. If the Reps would address the border issue sensibly, they might win a majority of the Latino vote, and that would be devastating for the Dems. There's 36M eligible voters who self-categorize as Latino. Biden didn't win by that much. I doubt the Reps could rebrand themselves in 8 months, but they could be 2028. Yes, there would be internal issues within the Party. Lots of anger among a large percentage of the Party.**

**Would they gain more than they lost? They might lose the Daily Stormer and tiki-torch sympathizers. The ones that Trump energized, and got to crawl out from under their rocks. They would NOT be happy with easing of immigration restrictions. But they might gain more votes than they would lose. It would be an interesting analysis.
