You may be focussed on the wrong issue. Listen to the recent DOGE Brett Baier interview. Doge has a great team (by great I mean highly successful people that don't need another job in their life but are really public servants not like the Shumer's of the world) and they are quickly fixing 50 year old processing issues that leave the government open to fraud and inefficiency. Mostly related to implementing tech solution to manual process that date back 50+ years. They are projecting solutions that may be completed in 6 months or less where the government has failed in the past to implement similar solutions with longer timelines (years) and higher cost that were never used. Just wasted money. Not to throw the government under the bus, but this happens in business as well.
