This could get "interesting". Thought leaders in Israel want to make war on Turkey, a NATO member. The US would never lift a finger against Israel, no matter how loudly Turkey yelled "Article 5". Thought leaders in the US would demand joining Israel in attacking Turkey.

“We must act in different ways, but simultaneously against the threat from Tehran and against the hostility from Ankara. Turkey is the New Iran.”
