It's impossible to point to anyone that Trump has appointed and say "at least that person is competent to do the job".

So far, the NASA Administrator, Jared Isaacman, seems pretty competent and qualified.

As a huge fan of space exploration, both with probes and observatories as well as manned missions, the more money spent doing both the better! Congress seems inclined to want a larger budget than Trump, in the name of representing continuing job creation and spending in their respective states and districts, and I hope they get their way.

I'm currently watching Isaacman's testimony yesterday during questioning about Trump's NASA 2027 budget request. See https://www.c-span.org/program/house-committee/nas...
