Still, I'm not sure that the troops will have much better luck finding an exit strategy for us. Trump has de facto established a victory condition that we probably can't meet: to wit, we need to get an agreement with Iran that is materially better than the one Obama got.
True. As for ideas to "attack" Iran, why not a cyber attack against their power and water infrastructure? It's gotta be cheaper for us to do and also less destructive of the lives and property of Iranians (at least initially, though prolonged water and power failure could result in many civilian lives lost).
After all, Iran reportedly attacked the water infrastructure of a dozen U.S. states. Surely this has given someone in the administration the idea to do the same to Iran? Or maybe all the people with the requisite skills have already been fired.
