The week's question
In March 2025, in the thread "Re: OT, out", Umm asked the members: "Do you think it is because America is made up of magical soil that makes businesses based in America magically profitable?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

But, as soon as Trump got what he wanted from "Bibi", the "doing it for Israel" cover story, he threw "Bibi" under the bus, and started working his agenda of stalemate, to keep the Strait closed.

CNN portrays „Bibi“ just like that, but throws in ‚a few days‘ as timeline for a major junction - ‚deal‘ vs. ‚Operation Sledgehammer‘:

US officials in the past have acknowledged differing objectives between the US and Israel when it comes to the war. … And despite Netanyahu’s pressure to return to active combat, Trump, for now, has continued to push for a diplomatic agreement, claiming Wednesday that things with Iran are “right on the borderline” and that it’s worth giving diplomacy a few more days if it saves lives.
