...who caused a nationwide frenzy when he flipped off the media after being charged with attacking two NYPD officers in late January? Trump said if the man gave the press the middle finger after beating a cop like that and he was running the country "they wouldn't last for more than 5 minutes."

Well, we know he loves to send out his mobs to deliver rough justice.

Anyway, it turns out that the man, Jhoan Boada, is innocent, was not involved in the attack, and all charges have been dropped.

Boada, 22, became the face of right-wing backlash after he was photographed flashing twin birds at reporters and insisting he was innocent as he left his arraignment in late January.

A “thorough and diligent investigation” cleared Boada in the case, the DA’s office said in a statement. “Jhoan Boada has been exonerated as a participant in this assault,” the statement said.

Ah, exonerated, now there's a word the Trump Cult loves.

But probably not in this case.
