IMO, we should just give up on using the Strait ever again. It will be cheaper (and less susceptible to disruption) if we find a way around the Strait. Big Business won't like it. Either pay the Iranians extortion, continue to waste our expensive missiles, or find a way around. I hate the first two options, so that leaves option 3 (which isn't ideal either, but better than the other two).
