But Jan 6…is a thing you folks think you can chant that lets the democrats off the hook

No. It doesn’t let anyone off the hook.

Bringing up Jan 6 highlights the hypocrisy of the right. How many in the right tried to pass off Jan 6 as nothing more than a peaceful protest? Hint - an awful lot, from people here all the way up to the President.

And now the President has gone so far as to pardon the Jan 6 criminals while calling for maximal enforcement against the LA rioters.

The problem is not the left, who generally agrees that both Jan 6 and the current LA riots are criminal activity. The problem is the hypocritical right, following the lead of Donald Trump, who thinks that only one of these events was criminal.
